Solid. Just like
your convictions.

While you might not exactly know the layout, or what the color scheme will be, you already have very strong opinions of what you want in your home. It must be timeless. It must be structurally superior. It must be built to withstand and welcome the generations of families that will live there.

In other words, it must meet our standards.

At Meteek, (which is the Ojibwe word for wood) we build with a deep respect not only for your living environment, but for the environment as a whole. Our interest and experience in this type of building has led us to materials of the highest energy and environmental value, and these are the materials we typically use.

Every project is unique, of course, and so before the bid process, we analyze and scrutinize the site to determine the correct match of materials to the environment. If the home will be near a lake, you need a particular type of window which can face demanding lakefront elements. Hilltop homes need to be able to withstand high winds and driving rain. It's a simple matter of durability. That, and years of research to determine what materials work best on which sites-because we won't build anything that won't stand the test of time.

This is how we do things. This is craftsmanship, not just building. And this is why a Meteek home- your home-will stand up to the demands of living.
